Start where you are, with what you have. Just… start.”

I’ve always loved writing as a way to process all in life that’s wild, wonderful and weirder than fiction, and enrolled on a memoir writing course with the Faber Academy in 2020, just as global circumstances rendered singers professionally silent.
My first submission to the course, The Living Years, reached the penultimate stages of that year’s Spread The Word’s Life Writing Prize, and my next submission, A Song Less Travelled, was among the special mentions list the following. My first writer’s paycheck arriving when Aperitivo was published online in 2021 by Arch Street Press.
I’ve since been developing writing with Marin Sardy and Lilly Dancyger at Catapult, New York and at The Arvon Foundation, UK with Laura Barton, Travis Elborough, Katherine Norbury, Laura Cumming and Horatio Clare, and am now in the final stages of completing my first full creative non-fiction manuscript.
